A Message to the Students
Getting Schooled at the Temple of Hip Hop.
There are many students who feel that the SAC is doing nothing and
is just a group of lazy bastards. Well, the real bastards are those
who are too lazy to even open their bloodshot eyes and see that the
SAC is bogged down with enough shit as it is.
With all this work-to-rule crap that is going on, several organizations
in the school are not running, however, the SAC is, although it is restricted
in its abilities, and cannot organize events occurring outside of school
hours. As a school tradition, the SAC will be having lame spirit days
in October (dates to be announced), but other events are currently on
hold.
It is not the SAC’s responsibility to hold commencement or the formal.
As word has it, commencement has been postponed…not cancelled. As word
of this comes out, the students will be informed. As for grad, there
is a separate committee, called, strangely enough, Grad Committee, for
those geniuses who were unaware of this. Join it if you want, once the
work-to-rule campaign is over, and leave the SAC alone.
As for the December 11th dance…the SAC has confirmed DJ Mastermind
from Energy Radio. The dance and DJ have the subject of much speculation
and many rumours, with most people choosing to disbelieve the information
because apparently, “the SAC can’t get a good DJ.” Well, the SAC has
booked DJ Mastermind, SAC has confirmed the date, and SAC has a contract,
so it has done its part. With this work-to-rule business, SAC cannot
sign, so there is a fear that the SAC may lose Mastermind. The Sac is
doing everything it can, but time is running out, and what was guaranteed
to be the biggest dance ever at the Woodlands may soon fizzle out and
die. The students will be informed if DJ Mastermind is lost, and will
be told who the replacement DJ will be.
If you want to talk shit, talk to the government. The administration
at the school has been very helpful to the SAC, and their aid is appreciated.
To the students, speak up and your voice will be heard, but stop bitching
at the SAC.
