WHAT HAPPENED TO...

WOODCHIPS: The official newspaper of the Woodlands will become a rare beast around the halls of our school. The renamed Graffitti won’t be published every month because they haven’t sold enough advertising to pay to have it printed. The SAC doesn’t fund the paper enough to support it completely, the administration will not pay for this month’s edition, and the editors of the Woodchips want to hand out their paper in class, for free. To get enough money to print the paper, the editors are trying to sell ads space to students and businesses inside Woodchips. Unfortunately, not many people bought ads this month. That means that the november edition will come out sometime at the beginning of december. Oh well, who cares? Why do we need a school newspaper when we have ritzy ping-pong tables. Why doesn’t the SAC dig into its fat, moneygrubbing pockets and shell out enough dough to pay for the Woodchips? A school still needs a newspaper, even if it is condescending and Pirk-happy.
