HTP - The Cutting Room Floor

Attention all students!

Submitted for Volume1, Issue 2

The yearbook that you will be recieving in June will be missing a couple of pages. Not that the pages will be torn out wrecklessly and given to you with a smile, but some events and departments will be totally ignored. A yearbook is supposed to be a history book, a book that students can look back on and remember the memories, the events, and sports they participated in. Well not this time. Since the Rampages will be ready for distribution in June, deadlines will be earlier. This causes a slight problem. Clubs like girls soccer, softball, and girls football will not be included. I guess all you participants lucked out and won’t be able to look back and remenise. Events like the Boston trip won’t be covered even thoughit’s going for the first time in 4 years. Some would say that’s unfair, actually most would since this year everyone is being forced to buy a yearbook. Great mandatory [word indecipherable] work and now a yearbook. Do you see a pattern here? Anyways back on topic, these events could be included but then the yearbook will be distributed in September. This has the downfall of not getting signatures of friends who may not be in the school next year. It also makes it hard for them to buy a yearbook.Have you also noticed that the same people are photographed over and over in the yearbook? Could it be that if your not popular enough, involved in ten clubs, or a jock, you won’t be in? Have you [w.d.] noticed that it’s mainly friends of the yearbook staff that also get in the most. Maybe the yearbook should not be forced upon those who are not even included. But hey, make your own decision.

Why we didn't print it: I believe we already had an article dealing with the yearbook situation, and we didn't want to beat the issue to death (ironic?)
